| I'm designing something for those less computer literate and without the time to deal with a learning curve. We have an e-calendar with events for members of the committee. I need to make it so the can open the event window and click a link that will open folder of contents for them. This isn't the tricky part. It has to be easy to administer. What might work is having a folder where the administrator can go and create a subfolder then drop the required files in. So all they would need to enter in the "event" window is the name of the subfolder (as the subfolders will always be in the same parent folder) All I have at my disposal is asp classic (and an access db) Your thoughts? |

| I'm using BackTrack 3 and I've written a couple of shell scripts to automate some of the boring tasks. However, some of these tasks need to run at the same time in seperate konsole windows, this means I need to write seperate scripts for each task and need to open a new konsole myself to start the script. For example at the moment I have to:- Open konsole Type script1.sh Open another konsole Type script2.sh Open a third konsole Type script3.sh Basically I was wondering if there's a way to either write a script containing all the tasks where each is assigned to a different konsole or window. Or a command which can spawn konsoles setting them off running their own scripts. For example then I'd only have to:- Open konsole Type scriptx.sh Hope that made sense! Cheers |

| What I would like to do is take this page http://lmbcaz.com/test/index2.html and make it to where when you have a smaller screen size, those buttons stay the same size. I've found one solution, however, I will either need a hack to make it work in IE, or a different way. The way I found that would work (Were t not for IE's bugs) is to take two images, and lay them one on top of the other, and when you hover on the top one, it's z-index goes doesn't, and when you hover on the bottom one, its z-index goes up, so something like this. #button1 { (code that doesn't matter) z-index: 3; } #button1:hover { z-index: 1; } #button1 { (code that doesn't matter) z-index: 2; } #button2:hover { z-index: 4; } In FF, this works great, however, IE not so well, you have to click on it to get it to work, and that doesn't work too well. So basically, with that way, I'd use percentages and make the image get smaller as the page got smaller. However, doesn't help that the image doesn't change. So what I need is a hack to make that work in IE, or a different code in CSS. JAVASCRIPT IS NOT AN OPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPAMMERS FOR SITES THAT HAVE NO RELATION WILL BE REPORTED!!!!!!
